William Sheaffer Sorrells
Biography
Dr. Sorrells joined Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery Associates in September 2023. He currently treats diseases including aortoiliac aneurysm and occlusive disease, carotid artery disease, dialysis access, peripheral arterial disease, and venous insufficiency. He has extensive training in both open and endovascular techniques.
Originally from Georgia, he completed his medical education at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. He then completed his general surgery residency at Mayo Clinic, followed by his vascular surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Sorrells is currently seeing patients at both St. Vincentâs Riverside and Baptist Jacksonville Downtown locations. He is board certified in general surgery and is currently board eligible in vascular surgery. He is currently a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Vascular Surgery.
