Dr. Still is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the Denton A. Cooley Cardiovascular Society. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery - Vascular Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
Biography
Robert J. Still, MD, joined Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgical Associates, P.A., in July 1991. He returned to his hometown of Jacksonville after completing his Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Texas Heart Institute under the direction of the renowned Denton A. Cooley, MD. Dr. Still specializes in mitral valve repair and replacement, aortic valve surgery, coronary artery revascularization, ascending and descending aortic aneurysm repair, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair as well as surgery for carotid stenosis and peripheral vascular disease. He offers surgical treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the lung, pleura, chest wall and mediastinum. Many of the procedures can be performed utilizing a minimally invasive technique known as Video Assisted Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Still is also trained in TAVR procedures and performs robotic lung surgery.
