
Mark A. Mostovych
Biography
Mark A. Mostovych, MD, FACS, joined Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgical Associates, P.A., in March 1996. He developed a Minimally Invasive Surgery Program to treat heart and valve disease, atrial fibrillation and lung cancer. Dr. Mostovych and one of his partners, Dr. Raymond Lee, have synthesized what they have learned developing the program and regularly train and teach other surgeons in the techniques they have perfected. They are committed to the Minimally Invasive Program at St. Vincent’s Medical Center – Riverside.
Dr. Mostovych graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1986 and completed his Residency and Fellowship training in General and Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery along with Congenital Heart Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital. He practices a complete compliment of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery with cardiac revascularization, valve surgery, atrial fibrillation surgery, thoracic oncology including esophageal and lung cancer, and peripheral vascular surgery along with endovascular aortic stenting.
Dr. Mostovych’s particular interests are minimally invasive approaches to the practice of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery.
