Biography
Fawad Khawaja, MD, FACS, joined Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgical Associates, P.A., in October 2014. After completing his Cardiothoracic Surgery training at the University of Tennessee, he joined University of Florida, Gainesville, for training in Aortic Aneurysm Surgery and Complex Cardiac Surgery. After completing his advanced training, he served as an Assistant Professor in division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at University of Florida.
Dr. Khawaja specializes in Coronary Artery Revascularization, Aortic Valve Replacement, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, Mitral Valve Repair and Replacement, Ascending and Descending Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Dialysis Access Surgery, Carotid Artery Disease and Peripheral Vascular Surgery. He also specializes in the treatment of benign and malignant Lung Diseases.
Dr. Fawad Khawaja, a native of Jacksonville, is an alumni of Jacksonville University and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. He is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgeons.
