Biography

Dr. Stouffer has particular interest in valvular heart disease and helped to start the Structural Heart Programs at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN in 2012 and at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, GA in 2015.  He served as the Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Service Line at Memorial Savannah from 2022-2024.  Medical and surgical education have been important components of Dr. Stouffer’s practice with an appointment of Associate Professor of Surgery with Mercer University School of Medicine.  He has extensive experience in complex aortic surgery, coronary revascularization, surgery for atrial fibrillation, heart valve surgery, catheter-based valve procedures (TAVR, Mitraclip), and lung resections.

Although a Michigan native, Dr. Stouffer has family throughout the state of Florida and he trained in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Florida, Gainesville.  He is honored and excited to, once again, call Florida home and to serve the people of Florida and South Georgia.
