Pain, numbness, and tingling may occur in the neck and the arms. Your arms and hands may be swollen and blue, and sores may be slow to heal.
Compression of nerves, the subclavian artery in the throat or upper chest, injury or compression of the vein, injury to the artery due to an abnormality in a neck rib or other irritation may cause this disease.
Medical treatment and physical therapy will be used to help treat Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. Ongoing medication may be needed if you are not a candidate for surgery.
